
Troy L. Miles, 75, of 602 Stanley St., Chippewa Falls, WI., died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999, at Lakeside Nursing and Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls.
He was born Nov. 21, 1923, in Anna, IL., to Dora (Sitter) and Lester Miles.
He attended Union County schools and graduated from Anna-Jonesboro High School in 1941.
He entered the U.S. Army in 1942 and served in Europe for three years, being honorably discharged on Nov. 21, 1945.
He worked in Elgin, IL. until 1952 when purchased a resort business in the Hayward area where he remained until moving to Chippewa Falls in 1971.
He worked as an automobile salesman for Meyer Chevrolet in Chippewa Falls, and as a bookkeeper for Wolf Electric in Bloomer until retiring in 1988.
Troy married Irene Peterson Davis on July 28, 1973 in Watertown, S.D.
He was a member of Our Saviour's Luthern Church in Chippewa Falls.
Survivors include his wife, Irene of Chippewa Falls; three stepdaughters, Lorna (Robert) Berg of Chippewa Falls, Jill (Jerry) Wolf of Chippewa Falls, Cathy Curtis of Eau Claire; one stepson, John "Jack" ( Eileen) Davis of Chippewa Falls; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many friends in the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Darrell Miles.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Our Saviour's Luthern Church with the Rev. Roger Skatrud officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Creek Cemetary, New Auburn.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
