
Jason Ray Casey, 75, died at 1:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, ay his home in Anna.
He was born Feb. 20, 1931, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Jason and Nancy (Osman) Casey.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a life member and past quartermaster of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 in Anna.
He was a board member of the Union County Farm Bureau for 23 years, board member of Regional Superintendent of Schools for 24 years, Union County Fair board member and past Democratic Precinct Committeeman.
He retired in 1993 after 31 years of service at Fruitbelt Farm Service in Anna.
He is survived by four children, Rebecca Lehman of St. Peters, Mo., Nancy Elizabeth Modglin of St. Charles, Mo., Jason Ray Casey II of Kansas City, Mo., and James Casey of Anna; three grandchildren, Robert and Tara Lehman and J.J. Casey; two sisters, Valda Keller of Jonesboro and Pauline Gurley of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, in Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Jay Franklin officiating. Interment will be in Anna City Cemetery with full military honors at the graveside by Veterans of Foreign Wars Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 in Anna. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Voice of Democracy Scholarship Program of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Carroll P. Foster 3455 in Anna. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
