Kay Bigler Bacon, 76, of St. Augustine, Fla., and formerly of Anna, died at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Fla.
She was born on June 22, 1932, in Cobden, the daughter of Arthur Joseph and Daisy Mabel Dickey Bigler.
She is survived by one daughter, Martha Bacon Kelly and husband Mark of St. Augustine, Fla.; two brothers, Jay Bigler of Anna, and Dick Bigler and wife Midge of Anna; nieces and nephews, Cindy Bigler-Hoppel and husband Jim of Carmel, Ind., Jay Bigler of Anna, Jayn Bigler of Anna, Tom Bigler of Carbondale, Elizabeth Bigler Buchanan and husband Brannon of Nixa, Mo., John Bigler and wife Lisa of Anna, Brooke Bigler O'Reilly and husband Tim of Springfield, Mo., Julie Bigler Peterie and husband Steve of Springfield, Mo., and Michael Bigler and fiancee Dori Lloyd of Anna; many great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Beth Bacon; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Alice Bigler; and a sister-in-law, Pam Bigler.
She was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna. She attended the University of Illinois and was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
Memorial services will be at a later date. Memorials can be made to Hospice, or an animal welfare organization of the donor's choice.
Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
Kay was a member of the A J C H S Class of 1950.
