Donald Eugene Boyer, 65 of Flora, Illinois, died at 10.10 a.m., Friday February 16, 1996 at his home.
Funeral services were on Monday, at the Frank and Bright Funeral Home, Flora, Illinois.
The Rev. Ronald Loper officiated at the service.
Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park, Centralia, Illinois with full military rites.
Memorials may be made to Lincoln land Hospice of Clay County Cancer Fund.
Mr. Boyer was born on November 14, 1930, in Anna, the son of Harry H. and Agnes L. Oliver Boyer.
He married Bernadine A. Doonley.
He retired in 1995 as chief engineer after working for Spartan Manufacturing for 34 years.
He was a Korean Air Force veteran, a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Flora, and Flora Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his widow, Bernadine of Flora; two sons and daughters-in-laws, Darrell and Jackie of Flora, David and Sharon Boyer of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three daughters and son-in-law, Theresa and Joe Caudle of Flora, Donna Boyer of Greenville, Kentucky, Rhonda Keck of Louisville, Illinois; one brother, Paul Boyer of Flora, one sister, Juanita Williams of Springfield, Illinois and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Note: Donald attended Davie, Lincoln, Anna Junior High and Anna-Jonesboro Community High school.
He attended A-J with class of 1950 and joined the service at 17.
