Peggy J. Vaughn Claxton 1932 2007

ANNA - Peggy J. Claxton, 75, died at 2:55 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at her home.
She was born Aug. 26, 1932, in Anna, the daughter of Charles A. and Minnie Norris Vaughn.
She was married to George H. "Peck" Claxton on Nov. 22, 1952. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 1990.
Peggy is survived by two daughters, Julie Bulli and husband, John, of Springfield and Marcy McFadden and husband, Jerry, of Anna; one sister, Jean Halbin of Anna; one brother, Harold Vaughn of Makanda; four grandchildren, Caleb Hale and wife, Teresa, of Jonesboro, Zachary Hale of Anna and Nan and Alex Bulli, both of Springfield; one great-grandchild, Liam Hale of Jonesboro; special friend, Ralph Womack of Jonesboro; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, "Peck"; and seven brothers and sisters, Charlene Simpson, Curtis Vaughn, Rella Mae Vaughn, Stanley Vaughn, Ray Vaughn, Mary Wood and Phyllis Tucker.
She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3455 in Anna and Ladies of the Moose Auxiliary 1181 of Anna.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, in Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with Bill Littrell officiating.
Burial will be in Anna Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
