Bob Genn Pitts died July 26, 1989 in Ingewood California, after being ill for some time.
He was born March 3, 1935 in Union County, Illinois the son of Lynn and Esther Oliver Pitts.
Bob married Beverly Jane Sams January 29, 1955 in Corinith, Mississippi.
Survivors include his wife Beverly of California, Two daughters; brothers; Jack and Barbara Pitts of Anna, Bill and wife of Junction City, Kansas, Richard and Charlene Pitts of Anna; sisters; Linda Pitts Coffee and husband John of Mississippi, Doni Pitts Helstowski and husband John of California; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by is parents; and two sisters.
He attended Davie Grade School and Anna Jonesboro Community High School graduated with the Class of 1953.
Bob attended Southern Illinois University where he played football before playing baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals in class AA in western states.
