Charles Frederick Jean of Glendale, Ariz., and formerly of Anna, died Oct. 9, 2009, at Hospice of the Valley in Tempe, Ariz.
He was born in Anna on March 10, 1942, the son of Helen Fritzinger Jean and Charles Norvell Jean.
Mr. Jean was a retired chemist for the City of Phoenix water department.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher Jean of Valley Village, Calif., and Douglas Jean of Mesa, Ariz.; a grandson, Morgan Jean of Mesa, Ariz.; and two sisters, Damaris Long of Zoar, Ohio, and Patricia Taylor of Marion, Ohio.
His body was cremated.
