
Wesley Leon Dalton, 44, of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of Carbondale and Makanda, died Monday evening, March 23, 1987, at home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Michael Fitzgerald Mortuary, 4580 S. Lindberg, with burial in St. Louis.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Dalton was a dental technician, and a member of Kingshighway Methodist Church in St. Louis.
He was born October 13, 1942, in Pulley's Mill to Robert W. "Bob" and Madge Rodgers Dalton.
He married Jean Richardson on October 11, 1974, in Greenville.She survives.
Others survivors include two daughters, Lori Richardson of St. Louis and Shelli Foust of Hawaii;
two sons, Kevin and Richard Dalton, both of Carbondale; his parents of Anna; four grandchildren;
two sisters, Joan Rion of Anna and Betty Loyd of Cambria; and two brothers; Billy Dalton of Anna; Dale Dalton of Makanda.
One daughter, Lisa Dalton, preceded him in death.
Wesley attended Lick Creek Grade School and graduated with the Anna Jonesboro Community High School Class of 1960.
Note: Wesley was every active in sports and set some Anna-Jonesboro High School track records on the 59 and 60 track teams.
Dalton run Half-Mile in 2:06 and anchored the Mile relay team.
