
Kenneth Lee Casper Moe

Kenneth Lee Moe, 65, died on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at his Parkdale, Ore., residence.
Services with military honors were Friday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. at Anderson's Tribute Center in Hood River, Ore.
Private interment was in Idlewild Cemetery.
He was born on Nov. 18, 1943, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Virginia Treece Casper.
He was raised in Anna by Virginia and Robert Casper.
In 1961, he entered the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Ariz.
He served for eight years, committing a year in Thailand during the Vietnam War.
On Jan. 16, 1965, he married Jonny Myers.
He moved to Oregon in 1970, settling in the Hood River Valley.
He worked as a refrigeration technician for the Diamond Fruit Company and eventually entered an electrical apprenticeship.
He then served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1977, retiring in 1998 as a relay craftsman at the Dallas/John Day/Willow Creek Project.
He was a Mason for the order of Freemasonry, achieving the 3rd degree Master Mason, as well as a past master at the Hood River local order No. 105.
He liked classic cars and joined the Hood River Ring Kings.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Jonny; a son, Chance; a daughter-in-law, Tina; and two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Nicholas.
In addition, he is survived by his mother, Virgina Lee Casper of Jackson, Mo.; a brother, Kent Casper of St. Charles, Mo.; a sister, Karen Casper Gleeson of Jackson, Mo.; and a nephew, Paul Gleeson of Jackson, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert Casper, and a brother, Keith Casper.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of the Gorge or Parkdale Fire Department in care of Anderson's Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont Ave., Hood River, Ore. 97031.
