Louis Wayne Bauer 1944 2004

Louis Wayne Bauer, 60, of Jonesboro, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2004, at home.
He was born Feb. 27, 1944, in Anna, the son of Fred and Louise (Ellis) Bauer.
He married Carole Russell Nov. 7, 1964, in Ware.
Louis worked as a boilermaker and retired from Chicago Bridge and Iron.
After retiring he worked part time for the Union County Highway Department.
He served on the board of the A-J Water Commission.
Bauer served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.
Survivors include his wife, Carole; two daughters and sons-in-law, Neely and Shane Ashby of Paris, Tenn., and Jamie Bauer of Anna; his mother, Louise Bauer of Jonesboro; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Sue Bauer of Anna; one sister, Teresa Bauer of Anna; three grandsons, Kaleb Bauer, Gage and Regan Ashby; a niece, Shannon Bauer and nephew, Shon Bauer.
He was preceded in death by a son, Russell Wayne, on June 5, 1995, and his father, Fred, on Jan. 3, 2000.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Hileman Funeral Home, with the Rev. Doug Bridgeman officiating.
Interment will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
Louis Wayne Bauer attended Jones Grade School and graduated with the Anna Jonesboro Community High School Class of 1962.
