
ANNA - Leon Wayne Winn, 64, of Southaven, Miss., formerly of Anna, died Saturday, June 26, 2010, in Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, Miss.
He served in the U.S. Army in the 4th Infantry Division from 1965 to 1967 and served in Vietnam from July 1966 to June 1967.
Leon retired after 36 years with CN Railroad.
He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3455 in Anna and a member of Masonic Lodge 466 in Cobden.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Winn; sons, Brad Winn and daughter-in-law, Christine and granddaughters, Morgen and Camden, of Southaven, Miss. and Justin Winn and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, and granddaughter, Kendall, of Memphis, Tenn.; sisters, Linda Winn of Carbondale, Kay Jordan and husband, Charles, of Tamms; brother, Dave Winn and wife, Glenda, of Goreville; and nieces and a nephew he was very fond of.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Thelma Winn; brother-in-law, Doug Draper; and nephew, Bill Draper.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel in Memphis, Tenn.
Burial will be in Memorial Park South Woods Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the education fund for his grandchildren, whom he adored, at Broken Oak Education Fund, 2685 Dickens Place, Southaven, MS 38672.
