Mrs. Larry (Sharon K.) Stewart, 62, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, Jan. 10, 2012, in Morris Hospital.
She was born July 19, 1949, in Cairo, the daughter of Lawrence and Betty McGee Miller. She resided in Mounds with her family where she received her elementary education and graduated from Anna-Jonesboro Community High School with the class of 1967. Sharon married the love of her life, Larry R. Stewart on Sept. 20, 1968, in Anna Heights Baptist Church. With her husband and family, they moved to Morris to make their home in July 1971. She was employed as a real estate broker and for the last 35 years she was associated with Coleman-Hornsby Century 21 real estate office in Morris.Sharon was a generous giving lady. With her husband, they enjoyed spending the winter season in Florida. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who treasured the times that she spent with her family. She was a member of First Baptist Churchin Coal City. Surviving is her loving husband of more than 43 years, Larry; their three children, Scott (Wanda) Stewart of Morris, Laura (Anthony) Swancutt of Plum City, Wis., and Stephanie (Deron) Heap of Morris; six beautiful grandchildren, whom she adored, Lachlan and Kieran Stewart, Brendan and Kelsey Swancutt and Ethan and Rachel Heap; one sister, Ludena (Glenn) Mowery of Morris; one brother, Kenneth Miller of St. Jacob; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14,in First Baptist Church of Coal City, 4470 E. Illinois 113, with Dr. Avery Wilson offi-ciating. Cremation rites will be after the services. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, in U.C. Davis and Sons Funeral Home Ltd., 301W.Washington St.,Morris, IL.Preferred form of remembrance would be memorial gifts in Sharon's name to First Baptist Church of Coal City.
