Greg Stewart, 47, of St. Louis, and formerly of Union County, died on Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, in St. Louis.
Mr. Stewart was born on Oct. 29, 1962, in Anna, the son of William Harold and Imogene Ruth Stewart.
He and his wife, Harriett, were married on Oct. 24, 1987.
He was a 1980 graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism in 1984 from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
He earned a law degree in 2008 from St. Louis University.
He was employed by the Southern Illinoisan newspaper as an editor for 19 years prior to going to law school.
He was a member of the Missouri Bar Association.
Survivors include his wife, Harriett; a brother, Daniel and Terri Stewart of Buncombe; an uncle and aunt, Gene and Shirley Ralls; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation is planned from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at Kutis South County Chapel at 5255 Lemay Ferry Road in St. Louis.
Local funeral arrangements were pending at press time.
