LICK CREEK
Stanley "Steve" Carter, 56, died at 1:55 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, in his home.
He was born June 4, 1950, in Anna to Don Wayne and Gladys Irene (Mixen) Carter.
He married Janet Dover, and she survives.He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
He worked as a meat cutter at Kroger's in Marion. He enjoyed going hunting with his brother-in-law, Rick.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, of Lick Creek; two daughters, Annette Brock of Dongola and Angela Smith of
Highland; one son, Scott Carter of Anna; five grandchildren, Manda Brock, Gage Brock, Ethan Smith, Makenzie Carter
and Hayden Carter; his father, Don Wayne Carter of Lick Creek; one sister, Donna Lyerla of Jonesboro; nieces, nephews
and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother and one infant brother, Scott Wayne Carter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, in Crain Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Mark Roath officiating.
Interment will be in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
