
Mr. Charles Elvis Miller, age 89 of Anna, died at 7:27 a.m. Friday June 18, 2010 at his home.
He was born December 9, 1920 in McClure, Illinois, the son of Charles Cleveland and Ida Josephine Rhymer Miller.
He married Martha Caroline Brown on December 23, 1944 in Jonesboro, IL; she preceded him in death on June 12, 1981.
Charles is survived by one daughter, Mary Carolyn (Larry) Rendleman of Anna, and a special friend and companion, Jane Bauer of Anna; 3 grand-daughters, Tara Lynn (Nathan) Smith of New Berlin, IL, Amy Lea (Marc) Sheffer, and Lisa Ann (Brad) Hoehner, both of Anna; 4 great-grandchildren, Logan Major Smith, Aaron Jeffrey Sheffer, Brooke Caroline Sheffer, and Lera Cecilia Hoehner; 2 sisters, Juanita Pickel and Neoma Bittle both of Anna; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ida Miller; his wife, Martha; one brother, Elmer; and five sisters, Alma Smith, Norma Skiles, Mary Smiddy, Dorothy Skiles, and Betty Goodsell.
Charles worked various construction jobs and as a custodian and school bus driver for 25 plus years for Anna School District #37.
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Elvis Miller will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 21, 2010 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating.
Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.

Note: About 1935 Charles Miller moved with his family to the Miller farm behind the the Anna Joneboro High School. He lived in Anna the rest of his life and was a very good friend. Charles will be truly missed.
